Time to be together again! It's a BALMELA- three days annual festival of children. Every year Jeevanshalas- 14 residential schools of Adiwasi children, run by Narmada Nav Nirman Abhiyan, celebrate BAL MELA; in which students, teachers, and villagers from different villages of the valley get together. Cultural programmes, traditional sports events and many other gala activities mark the festival. You are one of the close associates of Jeevanshalas and have contributed efforts, resources, skills towards the survival and progress of these schools over the last fifteen years. All children and Jeevanshala team would love to have you again with us. Please join for this main annual event of Jeevanshalas!
This year BAL MELA is from 15th to 17th February (Sun to Tue) at Bilgaon, a tribal village in Dhadgaon Tehsil of Nandurbar District (Maharashtra). Bilgaon is known to many for its efforts towards self-reliance for electrification through a community-built microhydel power project. The Sardar Sarovar Project affects parts of Bilgaon. Unfortunately micro-hydel plant and few fields were washed away two years back when the water level increased beyond government estimates. The village has resurrected now with a resolve to build the power project again.
Please do confirm your travel details at the earliest to facilitate logistic arrangements. Do not forget to bring your personal belongings, especially medicines, enough warm clothes, sheets, torch etc. Looking forward to host you in the valley.

How to reach:
Ø Bilgaon is 21 kms away from Dhadgaon Tehsil, where local office of Jeevanshalas is based. Dhadgaon to Bilgaon is a motorable road. Buses are available from Nasik, Malegaon, Dhule, Shahada to Dhadgaon
Ø Narmada Nav Nirman Abhiyan can arrange vehicle from Dhadgaon to Bilgaon.
Ø There are buses from Indore to Shahada. The nearest railway stations are Nandurbar/Dhule in Maharashtra, Baroda in Gujarat, Indore in MP. Buses are available from Baroda, Indore or Dhule
